What's a tentacle?

Think of an octopus: one brain, many arms. A tentacle is one brand's posting chain. It bundles a brand name and brand prompt (the voice the AI writes in), a set of channels (any of your connected accounts), its own queue of content, and a trigger schedule that decides when the next post goes out. Run one tentacle for your main brand, or several — one per brand or client — each with its own voice and rhythm.

Per-channel timing

Each channel in the chain has its own delay — seconds, minutes, hours, or days. When a post fires, it can hit TikTok immediately, Instagram 30 minutes later, and YouTube the next morning. Your content cascades across platforms naturally instead of appearing everywhere at the exact same second.

Set one up

  1. 1

    Create the tentacle

On the Tentacles page, add a new tentacle. Give it your brand name and write the brand prompt — a few sentences about who you are and how you sound.
  2. 2

    Add channels

Pick which connected accounts belong to this chain, and set each one's delay.
  3. 3

    Fill the queue

Add content from your Content Library, or send posts here from Compose using Queue mode. See Queue for managing the lineup.
  4. 4

    Set the trigger

Open Trigger Schedule and choose how often to post: every N minutes, hours, days, or weeks. For days and weeks you also pick which weekdays and what time of day.
  5. 5

    Turn it on

Hit play. A live countdown shows when the next post fires, and each channel reports its status — pending, posted, or failed — on every run. Pause any time; your queue stays put.

Handy options

Auto AI captions writes captions for every queue item automatically. Auto-transcribe converts your videos' speech to text so those captions know what the video actually says. Each channel also carries its own platform settings — the same options you see on Compose, like audio normalization.

Staggered delays don't just look more human — they let you check how a post lands on the first platform before it reaches the rest.
The brand prompt powers AI captions for everything in this tentacle's queue. Five minutes writing a good one pays off on every single post. Plan limits: 1 tentacle on Free, 5 on Creator, 20 on Agency.
