GuideQueue

Queue

The Queue page shows all pending content across your Tentacles. Reorder, edit, or remove items before they go out.

Managing your posting queue

How the queue works

Every Tentacle has its own queue. When content is added (either from the Compose page or directly), it enters the queue in order. The Tentacle's posting schedule determines when items are published — the next item in line goes out at the next scheduled slot.

The Queue page gives you a unified view of all your Tentacles' queues, organized as tabs. Switch between Tentacles to see what's coming up for each one.

Reordering

Drag queue items to reorder them. The item at the top of the list posts next. You can also drag the Tentacle tabs themselves to reorder them in the tab bar.

Queue item actions

Preview

Click a queue item to see its caption, media, and target platforms.

Edit

Change the caption or hashtags before it posts.

Remove

Delete an item from the queue. This doesn't affect content already posted.

Move to top

Bump an item to the front of the queue so it posts next.

Queue limits

Your plan determines how many items each Tentacle's queue can hold. Free accounts get 10 items, Creator gets 50, and Agency is unlimited. When a queue is full, you'll need to wait for items to post or remove some before adding more.

Use the queue for batch content creation — sit down once, create a week's worth of posts, drop them all into the queue, and let Octopost handle the rest. Pair this with Auto AI Captions for maximum efficiency.
