Content Library

Every video and image you upload to Octopost lives in the Content Library. Upload once, reuse it anywhere — Compose, queues, wherever.

What lands here

Files you upload while composing a post are saved to the library automatically, and you can upload directly on the Library page too — drop in several files at once and watch the progress as they upload. Videos get thumbnails generated for them, so you can spot the right clip at a glance.

Find what you need

  1. 1

    Pick a view

Switch between grid (big thumbnails, great for visual browsing) and list (compact rows with details). Octopost remembers your choice.
  2. 2

    Search and filter

Search by file name, filter to just videos or just images, and sort by name, upload date, size, or type.
  3. 3

    Open the details

Click a file to see its preview, size, and upload date — and to delete it if you're done with it.

Reuse everywhere

The library is what makes “upload once, post many times” work. On Compose, click Choose from Library instead of uploading again. On the Queue page, Add from Library lets you tick a whole batch of files and queue them in one go.

Cleaning up

Delete a file from its details view — you'll be asked to confirm first. To clear several at once, select multiple files and use bulk delete.

Deleting a file is permanent. Make sure you have your own copy of anything you might want later before you remove it from the library.
Name your files descriptively before uploading — “morning-routine-gym-clip.mp4” beats “IMG_4283.mp4”. Good names make search useful and give the AI extra context when it writes captions.
Upload size limits depend on your plan: 500 MB per file on Free, 2 GB on Creator, 5 GB on Agency.
