Uploading files

Upload files directly to the library by dragging them onto the page or clicking the upload area. You can upload multiple files at once. Supported formats include MP4, MOV (video) and JPG, PNG (images). Your upload size limit depends on your plan — 500 MB for Free, 2 GB for Creator, and 5 GB for Agency.

Organizing your library

Rename files by clicking the pencil icon — this sets a friendly display name without changing the actual file. Switch between Grid and List views using the toggle in the top-right corner. Sort by name, size, or upload date.

Using library files in posts

When composing a post, click "Choose from Content Library" instead of uploading a new file. This opens a file picker showing everything in your library. Select a file to use it in your post — no need to re-upload.

Upload your media to the library first, then create posts from it. This keeps your files organized and lets you reuse the same video or image across multiple posts without re-uploading.

Video thumbnails

Octopost automatically generates thumbnail previews for your videos. These show up in the library grid, the queue, and anywhere else your content appears. Thumbnails are generated server-side, so they're available even when the video itself is still loading.

Deleting files

Delete files from the library using the trash icon. This permanently removes the file from cloud storage. If the file is referenced by any queue items, those queue items will also be cleaned up automatically.
